We're excited to announce our Menu Challenge, a unique initiative aimed at making dining out more inclusive for the visually impaired community. We need your help to identify restaurants that lack large print or Braille menus.

Challenge Objective:

We’re asking you to submit the names of restaurants that currently do not offer large print or Braille menus. From the submissions, we’ll select a restaurant and provide them with a custom large print menu. Additionally, we’ll be giving a gift card to a visually impaired person in the area, so they and a companion can enjoy a meal at the restaurant with their new accessible menu.

  • Submit a Restaurant: Share the name and location of any restaurant you know that lacks a large print or Braille menu. You can submit through the contacted form below.

  • Spread the Word: Encourage others to participate by sharing this challenge with friends, family, and on social media using the hashtag #AccessibleMenuChallenge.

Rewards:

  • For the Restaurant: A professionally printed large print menu will be provided to enhance accessibility for visually impaired patrons.

  • For the Community: A gift card will be given to a visually impaired person in the area, along with a companion, so they can experience the restaurant’s new menu.

We’re raising money to make a difference and further our campaign to bring awareness to the public and the corporations that do not see visually impaired people as part of their demographic when building new products or making it as something simple as going out to eat.

Challenge to you, when you go out to eat, it doesn't matter if it's fast food or a sit-down restaurant. Ask them if they have large print menus or braille menus. Most of them will say no. A lot of places are using computer menus now for you to place your orders, no one is even at the count at a lot of them. This is a simple way to show you as the public how much still needs to be done.

To meet new challenges as I go forward this will help cover equipment, supplies and an assistant for me since I am blind. An assistant is a must for me to help with the website, driving, forms and many other things that I cannot do to being blind.

I want to go face to face with companies, restaurants, etc. so they can see the faces of the people they are blocking from having a normal life.

We want to be independent, not dependent on others.

With your help, Can You See Me Now? can reach this goal and continue the work we’ve set out to do in this campaign.

Please help if you can. Every donation makes a difference.
